Its warming up now and our class in winding down.   I have been walking, not as much as I pledged but these warm days are encouraging.   Saturday morning I was in the city and used the opportunity to walk briskly and soak up the energy of the city.   I also use the time to pray and commune with God.   I feel closer to god and more in tune when I walk and pray and just talk to the Lord.   Walking helps me to remember all the people I have on my prayer list.

One of my great childhood friends started running in her 50s and now she runs marathons all the time.   I mention this because in high school, she was one of those people who thought exercise was a bad word and a waste of time.  She is slimmer now than when she was in high school 40 years ago, so its never too late to start.
